Industry professionals for mentoring university students

Program Overview: MentorMe Australia's Mentoring Programs are designed to allow for focused career development for our mentees and a fulfilling leadership experience for our mentors. MentorMe Australia will actively facilitate the mentoring relationship through monthly mentoring materials and continual online support. There will also be workshops offered to all participants to enhance your learning experience.

The MentorMe Australia mentoring program is the perfect opportunity for industry professionals to make a positive social impact, through empowering the Australian youths of today. You will have the opportunity to share your personal experience, expertise, technical skills and expertise to students who wish to make a mark in the world.

Benefits:

-          Exclusive access to talent. As a mentor, you will be able to personally connect with ambitious and motivated students from leading Australian Universities who will have career interests that align to yours. This provides a great platform to promote your company and/or personal profile.

-          Positive social impact. Sharing your experiences, expertise and perspectives on professional industries to motivated university students will greatly impact their career paths and life choices. You will be playing a part in shaping the future of Australia.

-          Establish life-long relationships. Working one on one with your mentees will allow you to connect with them on a personal level, and build a level of friendship and trust that is rare even in the professional workforce.

-          Flexible commitment. This mentoring program allows you to choose your level of commitment based on the mentor and mentee’s schedules. We understand that you are have very busy schedules so meetings are required for 30mins every fortnight or 1 hour every month (minimum, you can choose to organise more frequent meetings) and can be done online.

The MentorMe semester 2 mentoring program runs from September 2017 to February 2018.

The first three months is the selection stage, where we match mentees with suitable mentors based on the information they provide us. Each mentor can be matched with a maximum of 3 mentees, however you may choose to only have one mentee.

The interactive stage where the actual mentoring occurs is from December 2017 to February 2018. You will be required to meet with your mentees for at least 30 minutes every fortnight or 1 hour every month (can be done online via skype or google hangouts). You will be working with your mentees through interactive booklets designed by the MentorMe team which will aim at developing soft and professional skills.
