The School for Social Entrepreneur’s first-ever youth based program, the SSE & Citi Youth Launchpad Program, aims to equip young entrepreneurs aged between 18 - 25 years and living in Western Sydney to establish, scale and sustain social ventures addressing disadvantages in their communities. We are looking for business professionals, particularly those with community and family roots in Western Sydney, who are keen to act as mentors to the young social entrepreneurs going through the program. As a mentor you will play a supportive role, fostering curiosity, inspiring enthusiasm, and unlocking potential. The mentoring program runs for 4 months from March to June 2016. This is a great opportunity to flex your business/management experience and skills, as well as enjoy the personal and professional development that comes from coaching a passionate changemaker in the establishment of their venture.
The time commitment for mentoring is approximately 4 x 1.5 hour sessions over 4 months (you negotiate times with your mentee) and a mentor induction and matching session on 15 March 2016 (approximately a half day). With the support of people like PwC’s staff , we can empower tomorrow's leaders to create community-led, sustainable social change across Western Sydney.
